Sunday, January 25: Some neighbors stopped by on our little landing until I came out with my camera, so off they paddled!
The harbor side drew me in today as I headed out to find a place to walk. It felt like Spring as the temp reached what felt like 65*. A friendly local at Damon Point remarked on the weather as well as telling me that today was her birthday and that the weather must have been ordered for her.
I walked farther than I ever have on the point and traversed towards the marina side where remnants of a road that apparently went pretty far out at one time surprised me! I remember Liz telling me how much had washed away over the years, but I did not expect to see some of the road remaining!
Looking back toward the mainland I could see how much the wind and waves had reclaimed and reshaped the land! The whitish stuff on the edge is crushed shells.
I decided that I had gone far enough on the road and headed back to the splashy side where there were more people (maybe when my besties get back from Greece, we can explore further).
I've seen these breakers from a distance many times but have never ventured out this far till today. It was pretty amazing! Those little, dark dots are surfers.
I also got a view of Mt. Rainier from the marina side! Amazing that it's visible from such a distance!

Hey! Too bad you don't have the clues - I'd bet my little wayward letterboxes from way-back-when are still there! Haha! Beautiful shots!
