A Record of the Beach Experience While Friends Are Half Way Across the World

 Saturday, January 24 - drizzly with heavy fog. Walked Damon Point, enjoying the crash of the waves, keeping clear of sneaker waves at high tide. Attempted a very wet selfie but was far too horrified to post it here...

Drove down to the ocean side - I'm pleased with my shots considering it was so gray and misty that I merely aimed and clicked not knowing what I would capture. I've been told by the best that photography is a fluky thing.

Talked with a local as her dogs came to greet me - we both agreed that the weather didn't deter us from enjoying the beach. Another local in his Jeep was concerned that I might take my little car on the too soft sand. I assured him that I wouldn't dare. He smiled and splashed through a large, muddy puddle as he headed back to town.
