Last June, my friends told me about this book they had read called The Fast Diet. I was skeptical at first with the word 'fast' in there. They were both tougher than I. Within a couple of weeks, though, I thought it worth trying after a day of pretty much doing just that, albeit unintentionally. Well, you see the results (even in stiff school photos!).

Oh, no! I really am wearing the same outfit... haha!
Having tried all the diets in my earlier years - Weight Watchers, the 900 calorie diet, juicing/organic eating, wheat free, low carb, Weigh Down Workshop.... you get the idea. Nothing lasted, so I gave up the diet phase as I was through with focusing on food. That's what 'dieting' does - all you do is focus on food.
With this one, the health benefits outweigh the loss of weight (no pun intended!). That was a primary motivator with this one. When your body has to keep digesting food, it never can fully rest or heal - that's the science behind this. Five days of normal eating, two of a partial fast of 500 calories. I no longer snack like I used to and feel energized after those fast days, and the craving for sweets is diminished. And, it's free! No counting anything aside from the 500 cal days. No having to weigh in with anyone else. Give it a try!
