More Travel Pics!

Cannon Beach! We have to spend time wandering around Cannon every time we come to the coast. This time, I went for less traditional shots again, looking for things that caught my eye.

And for a more traditional shot...

And, this little vignette drew my attention at a less-than-cool Flea Market barn on the way in:

Oregon Coast Randomness

We've been enjoying a much needed break this week soaking in the rain and tiny breaks of sun, being buffeted by the wind, and, as usual, snapping pics. My goal is to not take the same 'ol pics I always do!

I am grateful for the opportunity to travel with my besties once again - to be truly loved and respected for who we are and to be free to grow and discover in our individual ways is a blessing we share and something I will never take for granted.

Regarding Pumpkins

Headin' Back Home

Heading home again, we stopped along the Clearwater River, the route of Lewis & Clark (or so the numerous signs say).

Next time, I want to explore this Byway!

Seeking the Sun

It's been far too long since Liz and I have been able to have what feels like a real road trip.  Not only were we blessed with sunshine, but temperatures hot enough to feel like Summer.  It was glorious melting in the sunshine as we walked around Leavenworth.

Taking the most scenic route, we stopped in Snoqualmie Falls on the way up enjoying the old railroad depot and stops along the Wenatchee River.  Heading home, we ended up in Ellensburg taking time to explore the campus of Western Washington University just for fun.  Lots of laughter, singing, theological discussion and solving life's problems kept us occupied as we relaxed our way through the day.   I am so very grateful for such a day!

A Matter of Texture

Three friends, three cameras, one antique mall.  Texture shots?  Well, okay!

Something about her fuzzy face in that amazing outfit makes me smile.. Fortunately for you (and me) that's not the only one I took... I don't think that's quite what we had in mind anyway.  This was a really fun challenge!

Camera & Quotes

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine

I'm not a particularly verbose person. I think that's why I like taking pictures... they speak for themselves. ~Jeb Dickerson

Photo Challenge: the 'S' Word...

Yes, we visited the 'S' today up at Mt. Rainier.  Yes, we actually walked on and experienced the cold, white stuff...

Viewing a Little of My World...

Attaining the rank of Jedi...

*Jedi respect each other, and all other life forms.

*Jedi must put the needs of the community
above the needs of individuals.

*A Jedi must protect the weak and defenseless from evil.

*Jedi must always cooperate in battle or crisis.

*Jedi must not have wants; self-reliance must be shown.

*Jedi are forbidden from ruling others.

*A Jedi does not cling to the past.
