Day 15 found us going right through the heart of Los Angeles. Chuck navigated the streets very well considering the amount of traffic - the smog was so bad we had a hard time getting clear pics from Griffith Observatory where we went to see the Hollywood sign (picmonkey cleared it up, though). I thought it was pretty exciting to see a location from The Rocketeer (love that movie).
We headed down to Hollywood & Vine to see the stars and enjoy an icy Starbucks in the oppressive heat.
Finally, before heading out of the city, we stopped at what is probably one of the most peaceful spots in L.A., the LDS temple. The grounds were beautiful as we strolled around the edifice.
Taking Santa Monica Boulevard out to the coast, found us on Hwy 1 as we headed to the next adventure.
