Happy Birthday, Jacob!

Today is my son's 15th birthday. I just had to post this as I think of the years past, all the struggles that every parent goes through, all the joys, too. I am immensely thankful for Jacob - he is a huge blessing to me, and I've learned so much parenting him. I pray G-d's blessings on him as he grows into adulthood. Happy birthday, Jacob!

Dear Jatub,

I like you. When you come here for your birfday, maybe today, I will play cowboys and Indians with you. I want to play chechers with you, and I want to play bassetball, too. And, I want to watch movies and draw pictures with you.

Happy Birfday, Jatub!

[Now I have to go break the news to your little buddy. He just looked at this and said, "Did I say all of that? Oh, gosh, I'm gonna have fun. I like Jatub. Oh, doody!"]

Have a great birthday, Jatub! We're all thinking about you.

Dear Jatub's mom . . . when Jack learns to say "Jacob," I'm gonna be sad.

Just so you know, on Jacob's birthday, I celebrate you, too. He is blessed to have you as his mother.
