On the Way Home...

Today was a pretty typical Wednesday - Liz and I worked out and spent some time talking about a myriad of things including our upcoming trip to Spocon. Then, after doing my weekly shopping, I headed home towards the Narrows Bridge as usual.

Well, whadaya know but that an accident stopped us all just before we could cross the bridge. We all just sat there waiting for them to get things in order to let us all through, concerned about those possibly injured (at least 5 police cars and a fire truck joined the scene). Turned out as I drove past that it was two city police cars and a Suburban-type that had somehow managed to collide. Well, as noone seemed majorly injured, I just had to see the funny side of it - sure hope those guys were on a chase and not just being dumb!

As I drove on over the bridge, I just happened to have my camera handy and took a pic of the setting sun (actually several, but most were not worth posting).

Then as I got closer to home, I just had to pull over and try to capture the silhouette of the Olympics against the sky - well, photos never really do it justice, but hopefully, your monitor shows the colors even more lovely than mine:

Goodness, yes, I'm seeing the colors. These are both so pretty.

Wow what a lovely place to live near. I've never seen mountain ranges before.

Oh Padawan...those are lovely pics. What doesn't show is how stinkin' hot it was for you to sit in traffic for a long time...

Great colors...beautiful! :-)

That's lovely. It's strange days when it's hotter up where you are than down here!
