I sit here remembering Mother's Day a year ago. We were on our 'Biggest Field Trip Ever' enjoying the sunshine as we traveled from Moab, Utah to the next destination. Here's what we managed to squeeze into that particular day:
-left Moab in the early morning, taking a few pics as we traveled along.
-stopped in a little Utah town for some snacks.
-drove across the border into Colorado noting the difference in feel the further we traveled.
-took an unexpected detour to Mesa Verde National Park taking in the view from the heights from as far up as we dared go before we needed to make our next appointment.
-met Alamocito (our now dear friend, Wren) in a tiny Colorado town (Hesperus?) - she drove from New Mexico to meet us there. We enjoyed exchanging stamps and LTCs and putting a face to a name from that wonderful community, Atlas Quest.
-drove into Durango, Colorado for dinner forgetting at first that it was Mother's Day. We strolled around the town some and had an awesome dinner at Francisco's where the waiter greeted me in Hebrew (I was wearing my magen david)!
-we touristed a bit more, then drove onto our next hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I must say today is a lot different than that - just staying home and putzing around with the family.

Well, when you put it that way, I'd much rather re-live last years Mom's Day. lol! That food was sooo good in Durango!
It's amazing what we crammed into each day of our journey - can't wait to do it again!
Happy Mom's Day, my dear Padawan :-)
You all got to meet Wren on Mothers' Day?...and
Wren got to meet you all on Mothers' Day? How special!
Hope you have a wonderful day, albeit less adventuresome.
Love you! ~Kev
