Well, here I sit thinking again about our awesome adventure. We've been home for a few days now - I've gotten my pics uploaded for you all to see - we're getting back into our usual routine.
I have to admit that I love to travel and would do it all again in a heartbeat! Driving across the country with our music playing and sharing so many fun moments, deep conversations about serious stuff with Liz was so awesome. I'm amazed that we can spend so much time together and not get sick of each other - guess that's what happens with a Jedi- padawan relationship...;o)
We recieved a very warm welcome on our return to shul - we realized afresh how much we love the people there. With all it's idiosyncrosies (sp?) and issues to deal with, I just love to share in the prayers we pray each Shabbat, sing songs of worship, spend time just schmoozing, and bantering back and forth as we fell into our old groove.
We planned to get back in time for the big Shavuot festival - what a great time! We did our usual all night study (this time Liz and I carved to help us stay awake) and spent time dancing (not me personally), singing, eating (of course), and just taking time together.
We had the pleasure of meeting some guests from Tennessee who wanted to spend the festival with us - the Wallers are a wonderful family. Hope we didn't scare them! They spend much time in the beloved Land and had some great things to share with us.
Now, it's pretty smooth sailing till the Fall festivals, I think. Have to admit, though, I'm ready to travel again!
